GIMS Staff Nurse Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 100 Posts

The Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida has invited online applications for GIMS Staff Nurse Recruitment 2026. The recruitment is being conducted through a Computer-Based Test under Advertisement No. GIMS/2026/Manpower/NT-03/10 for a total of 100 Staff Nurse posts.

The online application window opened on 10 August 2026 and will remain available until 7 September 2026. Candidates with an eligible B.Sc Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc Nursing qualification or GNM diploma with the prescribed registration and experience can apply through the official GIMS recruitment portal.

Category-Wise Vacancy Details

Horizontal Reservation

Horizontal reservation is applied within the vertical categories and should not be added to the 100 vacancies as extra posts.

Educational Qualification

Option 1 – B.Sc Nursing

• B.Sc Nursing – 4-year course from an Indian Nursing Council / State Medical Faculty recognised institute or university; or

• Post Basic B.Sc Nursing – 2-year course from an Indian Nursing Council recognised institute/university; and

• Registration as Nurse & Midwife with the State Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council.

Option 2 – GNM Diploma

• Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) from an Indian Nursing Council recognised institute, board or council;

• Registration as Nurse & Midwife with the State/Indian Nursing Council; and

• 2 years of experience in a minimum 50-bedded hospital after acquiring the GNM qualification.

GNM candidates: The two-year hospital experience is an essential condition. The notification specifically requires the experience after the prescribed GNM qualification.

Age Limit

The decisive date for age calculation is 1 July 2026.

Age Relaxation

• UP SC/ST/OBC candidates: up to 5 years as per applicable UP Government rules.

• Eligible permanent UP Government employees with at least 3 years of regular continuous service in the relevant field: up to 5 years.

• Persons with disabilities: up to 15 years under the cited UP Government order, subject to notified eligibility.

• Ex-servicemen: relaxation under the service-deduction rule and conditions specified in the notification.

Application Fee

The application fee is non-refundable. Candidates belonging to other horizontal categories must pay the fee according to their original vertical category.

Selection Process

1. Computer-Based Test: Candidates appear in the objective nursing examination.

2. CBT Merit: Merit is prepared from the marks obtained in the test, subject to the notified qualifying standards and reservation.

3. Biometric & Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must prove their identity, nursing qualification, registration, experience and reservation claims.

4. Medical Examination: Selected candidates undergo the prescribed health/fitness examination before appointment.

Tie-breaking: If two or more candidates obtain equal CBT marks, the older candidate is placed higher in merit.
