NEET PG Exam City 2026 Out – Check City Slip, Final Edit Window & Admit Card Date

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences has released the NEET PG Exam City 2026 information for registered candidates. The NEET-PG 2026 examination will be conducted on 30 August 2026 in computer-based mode for admission to MD, MS, PG Diploma, Post MBBS DNB, Direct 6-Year DrNB and NBEMS Diploma courses.

Candidates can check the allotted test city through the NEET-PG applicant login. The city information was scheduled for release on 11 August 2026. The final admit card containing the exact test-centre address and exam-day instructions will be issued on 27 August 2026.

Current status: Test-city information is available through candidate login. Admit card release is scheduled for 27 August 2026 and the NEET-PG examination will be held on 30 August 2026.

Final image correction window: NBEMS has granted a final opportunity to candidates whose uploaded photograph, signature or thumb impression remains deficient. Such listed candidates can rectify the required image from 12 August 2026, 1:00 PM to 15 August 2026, 11:55 PM.

City slip is not the admit card: The city intimation only tells you the allotted examination city. The exact centre address, reporting time and final exam instructions will appear on the NEET PG admit card.

How to Check NEET PG Exam City

  1. Open the official NEET-PG 2026 application portal.

  2. Click Already Registered? To Login.

  3. Enter your User ID and password.

  4. Open the examination-city / test-city information available in your dashboard.

  5. Check the city allotted to you.

  6. Save or take a print/screenshot for travel planning.

  7. Download the final admit card separately on 27 August 2026.

Travel planning: The exam-city information is meant to help candidates arrange travel and accommodation. Do not treat it as the final centre confirmation because the exact venue is provided through the admit card.

Final Selective Edit Window – Who Needs to Use It?

NBEMS scrutinises the uploaded candidate images before issuing admit cards. A list of candidates whose images remain deficient has been published, and only such affected candidates are being given the final correction opportunity.

  • Thumb impression

The final correction window is available from 12 August 2026 at 1:00 PM until 15 August 2026 at 11:55 PM. If your application is included in the deficient-image list, complete the correction within this period.

Risk of not correcting deficient images: NBEMS can withhold or reject an application/admit card when required images do not comply with the prescribed specifications. Listed candidates should not ignore the final edit opportunity.

NEET PG Admit Card 2026

The NEET PG 2026 admit card is scheduled to be issued on 27 August 2026. Candidates whose applications are accepted can download it through their applicant login.

The admit card should be checked for:

  • Candidate name

  • NEET-PG application / roll details

  • Exact examination-centre name and address

  • Reporting / entry timing

  • Candidate photograph

Five Time-Bound Sections

The 180-question paper is divided into five time-bound sections:

  • Group A – 36 questions / 42 minutes

  • Group B – 36 questions / 42 minutes

  • Group C – 36 questions / 42 minutes

  • Group E – 36 questions / 42 minutes

Time-bound section rule: Once the allotted time for a section ends, candidates cannot return to that section to review or change responses. Time management must therefore be planned section by section.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate should hold an MBBS degree or provisional MBBS pass certificate recognised under the applicable NMC provisions.

  • A valid permanent or provisional medical-registration certificate from the NMC or State Medical Council is required as applicable.

  • The compulsory rotatory internship must be completed on or before 30 September 2026.

  • Candidates found ineligible at any stage can have their candidature cancelled even if they have appeared in the examination.

Documents to Carry on Exam Day

Candidates should carefully follow the final admit-card instructions. The information bulletin requires key documents such as:

  • Printed colour copy of barcoded / QR-coded NEET PG admit card

  • Colour photocopy of SMC / MCI / NMC registration certificate, as prescribed

  • One original valid photo ID such as Aadhaar, PAN card, driving licence, voter ID or passport

  • Applicable PwD / UDID / disability documentation where relevant

Candidates who provided Aadhaar and consented to Aadhaar authentication should also follow the Aadhaar-related biometric instructions contained in the admit card/bulletin.

Important Instructions

  • Download the city information only from the official NBEMS-linked portal.

  • Do not confuse the city slip with the admit card.

  • If your name/application appears in the deficient-image list, correct the image by 15 August 2026, 11:55 PM.

  • Download the admit card on or after 27 August 2026.

  • Reach the final allotted centre according to the reporting time on the admit card.

  • Do not carry prohibited electronic devices or study material into the test centre.
