Fee clarification: ₹600/₹400 is the Rajasthan One Time Registration (OTR) fee. Candidates who have already paid the OTR fee in an earlier Rajasthan recruitment do not have to pay it again.

No educational qualification: The official notification does not prescribe Class 8, Class 10 or any other minimum educational qualification for the contractual Safai Karamchari post. However, Rajasthan domicile and the prescribed one-year sanitation-work experience are mandatory.

Vacancy Details – 24,752 Posts

TSP rule: The notified Scheduled Area vacancies are meant for eligible local residents of Rajasthan's Scheduled Area under the applicable rules. Candidates should choose the area/ULB only when they satisfy its domicile and reservation conditions.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Rajasthan Domicile

The applicant must be a native resident / domicile of Rajasthan. This is not an open recruitment for candidates from other states.

2. Educational Qualification

No minimum educational qualification has been prescribed for the contractual Safai Karamchari post.

3. One-Year Sanitation Work Experience

Candidates must have a total of at least one year of sanitation / सफाई work experience in an eligible Rajasthan Urban Local Body arrangement.

• The required one-year experience may be continuous or accumulated across more than one eligible work period, provided the combined period reaches one year.

• Experience may be from direct engagement by an Urban Local Body or through an eligible contractor / placement agency working for the Urban Local Body, subject to prescribed certification and verification.

• The experience certificate must be issued in the format prescribed by the department and by the competent authority specified in the notification.

Old certificate is not valid: Even if you already have a one-year experience certificate from earlier, the notification requires a certificate issued after 1 August 2026 and before the application deadline. Obtain a fresh prescribed-format certificate.

Only One Urban Local Body Can Be Chosen

The notification clearly states that a candidate may apply for only one Urban Local Body out of the 183 notified bodies.

Multiple-ULB applications can cancel all forms: If a candidate applies for more than one Urban Local Body, all applications of that candidate can be treated as cancelled / not considered.

Choose the Urban Local Body carefully before final submission because the selection priority is also linked to where your one-year sanitation-work experience was gained.

Age Limit

Age will be calculated as on 1 January 2027.

Additional relaxations for eligible ex-servicemen, PwBD and other special categories are governed by the detailed notification and applicable Rajasthan rules.

OTR Fee – Important Clarification

Already paid Rajasthan OTR? The official notification explicitly says candidates who have previously deposited the One Time Registration fee do not have to pay it again.

The source page labels ₹600 for “General / Other State”, but that wording is misleading for this recruitment because the official eligibility condition requires the applicant to be a Rajasthan domicile.

Salary / Honorarium

These posts are contractual. The official notification states that the contractual Safai Karamchari will receive:

The amount is stated with reference to the Rajasthan Labour Department notification dated 13 December 2024. Candidates should not confuse this fixed contractual honorarium with a regular Pay Matrix salary.

Selection Process – No Written Exam

There is no written examination and no interview-based merit test for these posts. Eligible applicants will be considered through a computerised, category-wise lottery using software developed by the Rajasthan Department of Information Technology & Communication.

Lottery Priority Order

1. First Priority: Eligible candidates having the required one-year sanitation-work experience in the same Urban Local Body for which they applied.

2. Second Priority: If posts remain vacant, eligible applicants with one-year sanitation experience from another Urban Local Body in the same district.

3. Further Priority: If vacancies still remain, other eligible Rajasthan Urban Local Body experience holders are considered according to the notification and lottery rules.

After lottery selection, candidature remains subject to eligibility/document verification, medical fitness, character/police verification and other contractual appointment requirements.

Not a merit-by-marks recruitment: There is no educational-marks merit list or competitive written examination. The selection mechanism is the notified category-wise computerised lottery among eligible applicants.

Reservation Highlights

• Reservation is applied category-wise according to Rajasthan rules.

• Women receive 30% horizontal reservation under the notified provisions.

2. Log in with your SSO ID.

3. Open Citizen Apps (G2C) and select the Recruitment Portal.
