How the PET Will Be Conducted
The 14 August 2026 notice gives several important safeguards and procedural rules for the Physical Efficiency Test:
PET will be conducted by a committee constituted by the Board.
Manual timing is not permitted.
Standardised electronic timing equipment will be used.
CCTV coverage and biometric verification will be used to maintain transparency and prevent impersonation.
The list of successful and unsuccessful candidates will be declared with the joint signatures of the committee members.
The PET result will be displayed on the notice board at the examination venue at the end of the day's proceedings.
PET Committee
The notice provides for a district-level committee with officers nominated by the competent district authorities. It includes an administrative officer, a medical officer and a police officer, with representation arranged where required under applicable reservation/government provisions.
PET Admit Card 2026
UPPRPB has stated that the PET admit card will be made available on the Board's website. Candidates will have to download and print it themselves.
Exact PET date and time will be published later.
Download the admit card only from the official UPPRPB-linked portal.
Read all instructions printed on the PET admit card.
Appear at the prescribed centre on the exact date and time given to you.
Identity documents: The PET process notice asks candidates to report with the downloaded admit card, a valid original photo identity document such as e-Aadhaar/Aadhaar, passport or driving licence, and the original Aadhaar card as instructed.
No Routine Second Chance in PET
The Board has laid down strict attendance and re-scheduling rules:
Candidates are expected to appear on the date and time allotted in the PET admit card.
No routine opportunity will be given after the notified final date / reserve day.
A candidate unable to appear on the assigned date may submit a representation to the district committee on the examination day itself, personally or through a representative, explaining genuine reasons.
Email, post or representations sent to persons other than the authorised committee will not be considered.
If accepted, only one additional opportunity may be provided within the available schedule.
If the candidate again fails to appear on the rescheduled date/time, the candidate will be treated as unsuccessful.
A representation submitted after the scheduled PET date will not be accepted.
Stimulants / Intoxicants Prohibited
Consumption of steroids, stimulants or intoxicating substances during the Physical Efficiency Test is treated as misconduct. UPPRPB may conduct necessary checks and can cancel candidature and take legal action where required.
A candidate who fails because the prescribed PET standard is not achieved does not get a second attempt or appeal merely on health or another ground.
