UPPSC Assistant Professor Result 2026 – All 28 Subjects Out, Mains Form & Exam Schedule

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has completed the phase-wise declaration of the UPPSC Assistant Professor Preliminary Result 2026 for Government Degree Colleges under Advertisement No. A-7/E-1/2025. The preliminary examination was held on 31 May 2026 for recruitment to 1,253 Assistant Professor posts across 28 subjects.

With the remaining eight subjects declared on 18 August 2026, the preliminary result is now available for all 28 subjects. Candidates whose roll numbers appear in the relevant public result PDF are provisionally qualified for the Main Examination.

Latest status: All 28 subject-wise prelim results are out. UPPSC currently shows the Assistant Professor Mains Conventional Form link as visible up to 7 September 2026 and its modification link as visible up to 31 August 2026.

Advertisement-number clarification: The original recruitment is A-7/E-1/2025. UPPSC's current homepage labels the Mains Conventional Form as A-7/E-1/2026 while describing it as Assistant Professor, Government Degree College (Mains) Exam-2025. Follow the official candidate dashboard and subject-specific notice.

Vacancy correction: The correct UR vacancy count is 565, not 556. The official category total is 1,253 posts.

Result checking: Subject-wise prelim results are public roll-number PDFs. Open the relevant PDF and use Ctrl+F / PDF Search. Registration Number + DOB login is not required merely to search the published result list.

How to Check Result & Fill Mains Form

  1. Open the official UPPSC website.

  2. Open the subject-wise “Candidates Provisionally Qualified for Mains” PDF for Advertisement A-7/E-1/2025.

  3. Use Ctrl+F / mobile PDF search to find your roll number.

  4. If qualified, return to the UPPSC homepage and open the Assistant Professor Government Degree College Mains Conventional Form link.

  5. Login through the official OTR/candidate-dashboard process.

  6. Verify all details and submit the Mains form.

  7. Save the acknowledgement and use the modification link only if correction is required and the official window is active.

Deadline note: UPPSC currently displays the form link as visible up to 7 September and the modification link as visible up to 31 August. Candidate-dashboard instructions and any later corrigendum should be treated as final.

  • Qualification: Master's Degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in the relevant/allied subject.

  • NET/SLET/SET: NET by UGC/CSIR or accredited SLET/SET is required, subject to exemptions available to eligible Ph.D. holders under applicable UGC rules.

  • Age: 21–40 years as on 1 July 2025, with applicable relaxation.

  • Base DOB range: 2 July 1985 to 1 July 2004.

  • Pay: Academic Level-10, ₹57,700–₹1,82,400; Group-A Gazetted.

Preliminary Exam Pattern

  • 120 objective questions for 150 marks.

  • Duration: 2 hours.

  • General structure: 30 General Studies + 90 subject questions, subject to the Mathematics-specific provision in the notification.

  • Negative marking: one-third of the marks assigned to a question for each wrong answer.

  • No penalty for an unanswered question.

  • Approximately 15 times the number of vacancies are shortlisted for Mains, subject to the official rules.

Duration: 3 hours. Interview carries 25 marks. Final merit is prepared from Main written examination + Interview, for a total of 225 marks. Minimum efficiency is 35% for SC/ST and 40% for other categories as prescribed.
